Stolen card used on petrol and internet spree

Police investigating the theft of a bank card used in a spending spree at petrol stations and on the internet have released images of two men wanted for questioning.

Police believe the bank card was stolen from a car parked outside a home in Kelvin Drive, Ferntree Gully, on Febrary 26.

The card was used shortly later on a two-day spending bender across the eastern suburbs.

It was used to buy products at two service stations and a fast food outlet at the section of Ferntree Gully Road and Burwood Highway, Ferntree Gully.

The next day, the same card was used to make purchases at several stores in Chirnside Park, Vermont and Croydon. 

Internet purchases were also made over the two-day period.

Police hope that by releasing the images of the men that it will assist them with their inquiries.
