A motorcyclist travelling at 170 km/h along Sydney Road has been arrested by police.
The rider was also seen travelling with his hands in the air.
The bike was travelling in a 70km/h zone on Sydney Road just after 7pm Friday. Police pulled alongside the rider and ordered him off the motorcycle, an order with which he complied.
The rider, a 24-year-old Coburg East man, has been charged with driving while disqualified, driving at a dangerous speed and exceeding the speed limit by 100km/h.
He had his motorcycle impounded and was bailed to appear in Broadmeadows Magistrates' Court in December.
