Teen terrified by shopping-centre gun threat

A 17-year-old boy was threatened with a gun at a shopping centre in Melbourne's north, police claim.

The boy told police that two men threatened him at the Meadow Heights shopping centre in Hudson Circuit about 8pm on Thursday, November 1.

A police spokeswoman said the incident occurred inside the centre, and moved to the car park, where the boy alleges he was threatened again and the men indicated they had a firearm.

Police have been told the men drove a black VE Commodore.

A 22-year-old man from Roxburgh Park has been remanded in custody but police want public help to identify the second man and have released an image of a man they believe can help with their inquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
