A pizza delivery man has been bashed, kicked and beaten with a pole by three man who lured him to a home in Melbourne's north-west under false pretenses.
Police say the 19-year-old arrived at a house in Victoria Street, Flemington, about 10.30pm on Sunday with six pizzas, only to be turned away by the people inside, who said they had not ordered the food.
When the delivery man turned to leave, three men approached him and demanded that he hand over the pizzas.
The victim gave the pizzas to the men, but was still subjected to a brutal bashing with a pole.
Despite receiving minor injuries, the victim did not require hospital treatment.
Police have described the offenders as African in appearance, and said that one of the thugs was wearing a red hooded jumper at the time.
The other two were waiting nearby.
Anyone who may have witnessed the attack is asked to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
