A wig-wearing 73-year-old man led police on a flashdance through Frankston on Tuesday, ending in an arrest and a few out-of-breath officers of the law.

Frankston police donned their joggers to arrest the man, wanted over a series of alleged stalking and flashing incidents in Frankston South.

Investigators had received reports of a cyclist stalking and flashing his backside at women in Rosedale Grove, Paratea Avenue, Sybil Avenue and Alicudi Avenue over the past three weeks.

Undercover female police officers posed as joggers and pounded the pavements of Frankston South from 6am on Tuesday but officers got more than they bargained for, with the 73-year old dropping trou' and mooning them in Paratea Avenue.

The wig-clad Frankston South man was arrested and is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Following the arrest, a further four women came forward to report similar incidents.
