Police are appealing for help to find a woman with mental health issues who was last seen running naked into a forest in Victoria's south-east.
The woman is believed to have a Jack Russell dog with her and was seen running into the Alberton West State Forest on Wednesday about 5pm near Gelliondale Road and Cemetery Lane. Alberton West is near Yarram in South Gippsland.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the 39-year-old woman was in need of medical assistance. She was wearing only boots but may be carrying purple tracksuit pants and an aqua top.
She is of Caucasian appearance with a solid build.
Police and the SES are searching for the woman, who police believe will try to avoid contact with other people.
The public has been asked to call 000 with any information on her whereabouts.
