Boy, 11, to face Perth court on murder charge over Esplanade train station death

An 11-year-old boy is due to face a Perth court on Tuesday on a murder charge after a man died following a brawl at the Esplanade train station.

The 26-year-old victim died in hospital after the assault in the early hours of January 27.

The child was arrested on Friday and is the fourth person to be charged in relation to the death.

St John Ambulance said the victim was found unconscious with no pulse and with wounds to his left shoulder and the left side of his head.

He later died at Royal Perth Hospital.

Two 19-year-old men appeared in court on Friday January 29 and a third man, whose name and details have been suppressed by the court, appeared in court on Monday February 1.
