Police have asked for help to find two men who attacked a 14-year-old girl in Rivervale on Monday August 4.

At about 4:40pm, the girl was walking along Roberts Road about 20 metres from Kooyong Road when she was approached by two men walking behind her.

One of the men grabbed the girl and held her against a fence, threatening to harm her before both men indecently assaulted her, police said. When the girl screamed, one of the men placed his hand over her mouth.

The girl managed to break free, and ran down Roberts Road onto Kooyong Road towards Campbell Street. One man chased her, police said.

Police described both men as being about 25 years old with light brown skin, solid builds and wearing baseball caps.

One man was wearing white shorts and a black t-shirt and had a tattoo on his left arm from shoulder to elbow.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the above area around 4:30pm who may have seen the girl, the men or have information that may assist police.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
