Police investigate suspected Dianella homicide

Major Crime Squad detectives are investigating a suspected homicide that occurred on Grand Promenade in Dianella on Tuesday night.

Police have called for anyone who may have seen a 44-year-old woman days before her death at a Dianella apartment block to contact them.

Genevieve Elna Clark was found dead at the block of units on Grand Promenade on Tuesday evening.  

"We're interested in any information or any unusual or suspicious behaviour that people may have seen from Saturday until Tuesday" Detective Senior Sergeant James Bradley said.

"Friends of the deceased, who located her, attended this address because they were concerned for her welfare.

"The friends of the victim, who located her, were very shocked and distressed about what they saw - and obviously very upset."

Police have asked anyone who can assist in this investigation or may have witnessed any activity in the area to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
