BRUSSELS. Serbia's ambassador to NATO has jumped to his death from a car park platform at Brussels Airport while surrounded by delegates.
The Serbian government said Branislav Milinkovic, 52, died during a meeting of NATO foreign ministers.
Mr Milinkovic was at the airport to meet Deputy Foreign Minister Zoran Vujic and other officials who were due to hold talks with NATO representatives, a diplomat said.
As the delegation walked over to their cars in the diplomatic garage, Mr Milinkovic suddenly walked to a barrier, climbed over it and jumped, the diplomat said.
Serbia is not a member of the military alliance, but has a mission in the headquarters complex.
