Woman bitten on the nose by python during snake show in Phuket

Bangkok: Video of a python that suddenly attacked a Chinese tourist at a snake show on the resort island of Phuket has spread quickly across Thailand's social media.

The python turned to bite the 29-year-old woman identified as Jin Jing on the nose and didn't let go for several seconds.

Python bites woman's nose

A 29-year-old Chinese tourist is recovering after a reticulated python latched on to her nose at a snake attraction in Thailand.

Ms Jin Jing's wounds required several stitches at a local hospital.

She is recovering at her hotel.

Reticulated pythons do not have poisonous venom. 

The fate of the snake at the show in Chalong on the south side of the island is unknown.
