Where we started
In 1998, I met who is now my beautiful wife, and she told me about her recent trip to the UK in which she had tried all different types of cider. I decided I wanted to find about a bit more, and popped into the local book store and bought "Real Cider Making On A Small Scale" by Michael Pooley & John Lomax.

This sat on the shelf until 2012...

I don't know what prompted me to pick it up again, but I suddenly had the urge to try my hand at it. I built myself a scratter andress, and had the first batched brewed, bottled, and aged that year. It was pretty good, and it seemed like the whole neighbourhood was suddenly aware of my unusual hobby.

Where we are now
Fast forward to 2016 and the hobby has now become a chance to sell our cider to the region. We have a variety of ciders from Pomme - a modern 6% cider - to Kingston Black - a bittersweet 7% cider - and Apple Cider Vinegar.
