Trying to make an engagement announcement with a statement? Then there is no better opportunity than at one of the most stylish parties on a Sydney socialite's diary.
For Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough it happened to be Harper's Bazaar Australia's 20th anniversary edition party on Tuesday night at Matt Moran's Smoke rooftop bar in Barangaroo.
After weeks of speculation (and numerous clues on social media), the pair, known for their love of hobnobbing, finally went public with their engagement.
The glamorous soiree was hosted by a Gucci-clad Kellie Hush, Harper's Bazaar Australia editor, and attended by 160 VIP guests including Carla Zampatti, Justin Hemmes, Kate Fowler, Pip Edwards, Toni Maticevski, Rebecca Vallance, Jesinta Franklin and her celebrity agent Annie Kelly.
It was also the first time Lindy Klim, dressed in Toni Maticevski, left the side of her two-month-old daughter, Goldie.
The Balinese princess said she was missing her little girl, but felt assured that she was in the safe hands of her father, Adam Ellis, in Bali.
Margot Robbie graced the cover of the bumper edition, but couldn't make the party as she was attending the 2018 Oscars Nominees Luncheon in Los Angeles for her role in I, Tonya.
Kiwi model Georgia Fowler will grace the pages in a shoot with David Jones ambassador, Victoria Lee.
"It was one my dreams to always be in the pages of Harper's Bazaar and to be in the anniversary issue is a real honour," Fowler said.
It will be somewhat of a Fowler family edition with her sister Kate, her partner multi-millionaire Merivale boss Justin Hemmes, and their two daughters Alexa, 2, and Saachi, seven months, also set to grace the pages from his family home, The Hermitage, a heritage-listed waterfront manse in Sydney's Vaucluse.
Security was tight for the arrival of the world's most beautiful woman, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, for the opening of the Longines boutique in the Queen Victoria Building last Saturday evening.
The Bollywood star and former Miss World, 44, was joined in Sydney by her actor husband Abhishek Bachchan and their six-year-old daughter Aradhya.
Model and high jumper Amy Pejkovic, sprinter-turned-Fox Sports presenter Matt Shirvington and Kerri-Anne Kennerley were also all in attendance.
Earlier on Tuesday, Sunglass Hut hosted an early Valentine's Day lunch at Cirrus Dining, Barangaroo.
Guests, such as former I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! stars Kris Smith and Tegan Martin, enjoyed grilled marron, ora king salmon, and aerated chocolate with mango and tonka bean ice-cream for dessert, all washed down with champagne.
Love was in the air ... but it seemed only for the sunnies on show.
As seen on Sundays in The Sun-Herald's S magazine.
