About the position
We are looking for that passionate, innovative and driven architect to fit the seniority which comes with the director role and represent my client in a start-up environment expanding onto the Australian market. With a strong international presence, this well-known Architecture firm has done many well-known buildings around the world and has a strong design philosophy.
They have created a new opportunity for a registered Victorian architect Director / Managing Director profile for the Australian studio. It will be a responsibility of and architect of record. The director role is very much an independent thinker and someone who embraces the ‘start up’ mentality we need in the Melbourne Office. This person will be strongly responsible for office growth with strengthening the Australian network, and not be afraid of stepping into projects with a small but strong team of people.
This position is ideal for an experienced and highly experienced and competent Senior Project Architect or Senior Associate or Design Director with a proven track record of running projects end-to-end, strong business acumens and leadership qualities. You may be currently employed at a studio, and you are looking for an opportunity to advance or carve your name out within the industry. There is also intent to hold future discussions on becoming an equity partner or profit share of the practice.
Your new role
- To be Responsible for the economic performance of the entity;
- Execute the global strategy; responsible for locally relevant strategic drivers;
- Establish and maintain forward-looking, efficient and effective management of the project team;
- Optimise project results through an active hands‐on approach;
- To stimulate and improve connectedness between the new entity and other clusters/departments/units.
