The ACT Government is seeking applications from experienced and skilled individuals to fill the vacant position of Chair of the ACT Long Service Leave Authority Governing Board.
The Authority is established under the Long Service Leave (Portable Schemes) Act 2009 to administer the long service leave benefits schemes in the industries of building and construction, contract cleaning, community service, and security. It convenes six meetings per year, with additional meetings as required.
The Chair is appointed on a part-time basis with remuneration of $28,120 per annum. The term of appointment is for up to five years. In order to be considered, applicants should be able to show they have:
- demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial and investment strategies;
- the ability to facilitate outcomes among a diverse range of employer and employee interests;
- a strong understanding of workplace relations issues;
- experience in prudential governance;
- experience on government boards or similar.
Applicants should provide a resume and covering letter describing how their skills and experience would benefit the Authority. Applicants cannot currently be employed as a public servant.
