This is a policy, program and service delivery Federal Government Department committed to caring for the nation’s veteran and defence service community. These roles sit in the Client Benefits Division which is responsible for case management of claims including registration, assessments, determinations, review and reconsiderations.
Your new role
As an APS5 Claims Processing Delegate you will undertake investigations of applicant’s claims and engage with clients and third parties to determine initial liability for compensation under relevant Acts.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll be highly client-focused and be able to handle sensitive information with a respectful and empathetic attitude. You’ll possess excellent case management and problem-solving skills as well as be able to manage competing priorities. Experience operating with and applying administrative law will be looked upon favourably.
What you'll get in return
Claims Processing Delegates receive an initial 12 weeks of training. These roles are to commence ASAP until the end of June 2022, with the possibility of extension. You will be required to work from the office full time in Sydney’s CBD and will be rewarded with an hourly rate of $50 excl. super.
