About Our Client
Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Division supports the Commonwealth's efforts to build a robust, resilient and internationally competitive defence industry. The AIC Division is looking to recruit a number of several Defence Industry Business Advisers nationally as part of a truly national network.
Whilst these roles are nationally distributed, there are specific vacancies in South Australia, West Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, NSW and ACT, however candidates in all locations will be considered. AIC can offer flexibility to regionally-based candidates, as well as those who are Canberra-based.
You'll give contemporary defence market access advice and provide a solid business capability uplift service covering operational efficiency, quality, growth, innovation, projects, people and capture and commercialisation. You should be capable of dealing with a genuine array of individuals and capable of provision of advice on a number of topics that could include defence readiness, capability enhancement, innovation, exports supply chain opportunities and commercial pathways.
Communication and collaboration is critical in this role. You'll be part of a truly national team and have a mandate to collaborate and develop excellent relationships with primes and sub-contractors and should be capable of holding a conversation with anybody from secretary to shop floor to CEO.
The Successful Applicant
Ideal candidates should bring a range of skills on top of first hand uniformed experience. We're seeking a breadth of knowledge of the defence sector including current and future programs and procurement coupled with and an executive-level understanding of commercial business and an appetite to work with other government agencies and programs to ensure best outcomes for all. Manufacturing and supply chain knowledge is always valued.
