Lead Platform Engineer

An exciting new opportunity is available for a Lead Platform Engineer at an Environmental and Energy Services. This is a permanent position located in the Sydney CBD. The organisation offers a flexible and collaborative working environment with excellent facilities on site.

Your new role
The primary purpose of this role is to engineer, implement and manage the infrastructure and computing platform. You will be responsible for supporting the cloud management services across Australia and New Zealand to meet the business requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5 plus years’ experience in design and delivery of Infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Infrastructure technologies and other DataCentre solutions such as, hypervisors, storage and operational tools.
• 3 plus years’ design experience with enterprise IAM solutions.
• Proficient in design, architecture and deployment of VMware and storage solutions.
• Solid skills and experience in managing Windows Server OS, VMware, vSphere, PowerShell, Citrix XenApp.
• Experience working in a multi-forest and multi-site active directory environment, including the creation of GPO and the use of GPP.
• Experienced in large scale migrations to cloud (AWS) using IaaS/PaaS and serverless products using automation (CloudFormation/Terraform).
• Good understanding of AWS solutions and ITSM framework.
• Experience with building Infrastructure platforms that align with internal security control frameworks and industry security frameworks like ISO and NIST.
• Solid experience in managing VMWare/SAN environment and Microsoft technologies to build and support a complex and distributed infrastructure platform
