Your new company

Our client is a progressive, people-focused financial institution offering its Members a competitive range of financial products and services. They are looking for an experienced lender to join as a Senior member within their growing team in Canberra.

Your new role

The Lending Manager will be a loans specialist who is also responsible for meeting all member needs, providing all appropriate banking products and service. Whilst the role includes assisting members directly with all general banking enquiries and lending, the primary focus of the role is to assist new and existing customers with their loan-related needs. Day to day responsibilities may include:

  • Having detailed needs-based conversations with customers to identify and provide solutions for financial needs required to achieve personal goals
  • Deliver against key performance indicators including performance against lending targets
  • Pro-active contact to members either face to face, by phone or through web platforms including occasional business development activity through pre-qualified leads
  • Analyse supporting documents and complete credit applications to credit with aim to drive positive outcomes for customers

What you'll need to succeed

You must have:

  • Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking
  • FSR Tier 2 accreditation
  • Experience in lending or in a similar role in banking and/or wealth
  • High level understanding of Consumer Lending and Credit
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain client and team relationships
