Victory Consultants seek position of Motor Mechanic for our client Kevin’s Auto Repairs in Canberra. Kevin’s Auto Repairs cater to the general public, car yards, dealerships and many other small businesses in and around Canberra. Our professional mechanics also service fleet vehicles. We provide all manner of mechanical services, including general repairs, maintenance, logbook servicing, pre-purchase inspections, smart salary and smart fleet facilities, safety checks and more. Our highly experienced staff is ready to offer you an enormous amount of knowledge and advice. Duties are as listed below: o Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts o Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts o Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed o Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations o Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired o Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance o Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers o Inspect and replace suspension components. o Rotate and check condition of tyres. o Battery testing, replace and changing if needed. o May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness o Liaising with logistics to get parts to site. o Test drive for final checking. To be eligible for this position, ideally you have the following:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience.
- Relevant Trade Qualifications.
- Commanding skills of diagnostic and repair.
