The Company

Our client is a market leader in their industry, delivering innovative fresh bread products to the retail, food service, grocery, and convenience market.  Due to planned business growth, we are seeking a number of Quality Controllers, one for each shift over two manufacturing facilities; Dandenong and Braeside.

The Role
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Officers, these roles are vital in ensuring product quality by adherence to the Food Safety Programs in place.  Your unwavering focus on safety and quality, through continual monitoring and testing of compliance will ensure any identified issues will be dealt with by the Production and Quality team efficiently and effectively.   Working closely with the Shift Supervisors, Line Operators and the Quality Team, assisting them to work to the appropriate standards makes this a busy and valuable role.  Your communication skills will ensure you maintain great working relationships and your attention to detail and reporting skills will ensure 100% accuracy and full compliance thereby producing the perfect product. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ensure all staff comply with the relevant Hygiene standards
• Ensure accuracy with all documentation provided to Production
• Conduct 2 hourly quality monitoring assessments on each product, ensuring compliance and issuing out of spec notices where applicable
• Maintain a Zero Harm safety approach in all your work
• Manage Allergen control
• Support the implementation and feedback of QA policies
• Ensure all Corrective Action Requests are prioritised, actioned and closed out
• Assist with Company Audits
