Your new role
As Senior Verification and Validation Engineer you will make responsible decisions on matters assigned, including the establishment of professional engineering standards and procedures, consults, recommends and advises in speciality engineering areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining and performing the verification and validation testing activities to ensure the system and system elements meet the Functional Baseline Requirements and/or Allocated Baseline Requirements
  • Contributing to System Requirement Analysis activities to confirm requirements are testable, allocating Verification Methods and Verification Phases, and completing documentation in the Verification Cross Reference Matrix
  • Creation, maintenance and traceability of test procedures to verify Functional Baseline requirements and Allocated Baseline requirements and to validate the system’s fitness for purpose in accordance with project objectives
  • Conducting the verification and validation tests in accordance with the Project Plans and Schedule, working both internally and at customer sites during formal testing activities with the Customer.
  • Participating in Test Procedure Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews, internally, with suppliers and with the Customer

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Engineering, IT or a related discipline
  • Relevant industrial experience in systems engineering or communication systems
  • Solid understanding of Verification & Validation processes (Traceability, Test Definition, Test Conduct, Requirements management)
  • Experience of working with large, complex, software-based systems
  • Experience in total life cycle of software development including processes and responsibilities at each stage in the cycle
  • Experience in engineering analysis, design and testing activities & practical knowledge in Integration, V&V processes and activities
  • Solid experience of using Requirement/Test and Defect Management Systems
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documents that clearly articulate complex technical detail
