The 25 year old pleaded not guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday to 22 charges, including attempted murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, theft, forcible confinement, and property damage.

The man – who cannot be named as he was under 18 at the time of some of the offences – is alleged to have stolen more than $385,000 in 13 armed robberies on southside clubs between 2009 and 2018.

The Magistrates Court charges relate to eight robberies on five clubs between December 2016 and January 2018.

The court heard the man is scheduled to be charged with further offences linked to the earlier robberies in the ACT Children's Court.

The accused did not apply for bail and no details of the allegations were tendered in court.

However, the court heard the man had allegedly used a number of weapons during the robberies.

On December 2016, he allegedly attempted to hold-up the Calwell Club with a gun.

The attempted murder charge related to the stabbing of a patron of the club who had chased, caught and wrestled the masked gunman.

In March 2017, the man allegedly stole $58,034 from the Deakin soccer club, then used a garden saw to hold up the Weston Raiders club in May before he made off with $6000.

A month later, he allegedly threatened staff with a machete and stole $65,620 from the Lanyon Vikings Club.

He is accused of returning to the Lanyon club in October with a firearm and took $67,850.

The man allegedly hit three clubs in three months between December 2017 and February 2018, making off with a total of $120,515.

The matter was listed to reappear for mention next month.
