A woman charged with stalking and using an electronic device to track a car has been by the court for mental health treatment.

The 38-year-old woman from Scullin faced charges of stalking and contravening a family violence order.
Police said the victim noticed "ongoing suspicious behaviour conducted by a woman known to them" between July 22 and July 24 this year.
The victim found the device attached to their car and called police, who then arrested the woman.
Defence lawyers told the court the woman was seeing a psychiatrist and didn't feel she required further mental health support.
However Magistrate Bernadette Boss disagreed with the defendant's "self-assessment"
"This behaviour is bizarre in the extreme," Magistrate Boss said. "I have serious concerns for the defendant's mental health and welfare."
The defendant was crying in the court room as the magistrate said the defendant's alleged actions demonstrated "paranoid behaviour."
Magistrate Boss decided the accused be taken by a police officer to an approved mental health facility for clinical examination to determine whether she needs immediate treatment or care because of mental impairment.
It is unknown when the case will return to court.
