After a record breaking heatwave the weather has finally cooled down for some very hot Canberrans, but don't start thinking it's going to be cool.

Despite a maximum of 33 degrees forecast for Saturday, the mercury actually hit 36, six degrees above Canberra's average maximum temperature for January.
The big relief is likely to come is overnight temperatures.
While during the week the minimum remained in the 20s, it's expected to be a much more bearable 14 or 15 degrees in coming days.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Jordan Notara said Canberra could expect several more days of above average temperatures with a cool change coming on Thursday.
Sunday is predicted to reach 34 degrees and the mercury will hit 35 on Monday.
Despite the heat still lingering after four days of temperatures reaching at least 40, a record for Canberra, residents headed back outdoors for some fun in the sun on Saturday.
Alec and Fanny Thornton took their two-year-old son Calle to their plot at the Canberra City Farm in Fyshwick to make sure their vegetables were surviving the heat.
Mr Thornton said he'd been making extra trips due to the hot weather to get the plants some water in the evening so it could soak in overnight before the next day's heat.
He said Canberra offered plenty of good opportunities to get his son out of the house and remain cool.
"I take the little guy to the museums a lot, they're free and all have aircon," Mr Thornton said.
He said they often head to Lake Burley Griffin at Yarralumla or Black Mountain Peninsula or Dickson Pool.
"The beach at Yarralumla was very busy on Saturday with kids in the water and on skim boards and kayaks," he said.
Originally from Boston in the United States, Mr Thornton said heat to this degree was a new experience but he said back in Boston children would get cabin fever stuck inside due to snow, much like the recent heat.
Friday saw more storm activity in the capital, with lightening strikes responsible for igniting several fires.
"The next few days will have the potential for more storms," Mr Notara said.
"And with more humidity it might feel a bit more muggy and can make it feel warmer than if it was dry heat."
There is a 50 per cent chance of rain on Monday, but with only a few millimetres expected, but the atmosphere remains conducive to storms, Mr Notara said.
