The Canberra brewers have teamed up with UK rockers Royal Blood for limited release beer Royal Brew Blood Orange New England IPA.
The band is coming to town this weekend for music festival Groovin The Moo at University of Canberra on April 29, when they will get to taste the creation themselves.
The juicy beer is crammed full of blood orange juice, with hints of passionfruit and pineapple.
The collab came out of a friendship between Capital's director Rich Coombes and Royal Blood's Mike Kerr. Capital is again selling their beers at this year's Groovin The Moo, and when Royal Blood were announced on the lineup, Rich got in touch with Mike to see if they were keen to collaborate on a beer.
Capital's head brewer Wade Hurley bounced around ideas and beer styles with the band, then he brewed it up just in time for the music festival's arrival.
"It’s not every day you get to work with some of your favourite musicians” said Hurley.
"We had the band’s latest album How Did We Get So Dark absolutely cranking as we mashed in the brew. We can’t wait to share a few pints with the lads when they land in the country next week."
The beer will be available at Canberra's Groovin The Moo, and a limited number of kegs will be released to venues around the country.
