Cyclists injured in Monaro Highway crash

Two cyclists have been injured in a collision with a car on the Monaro Highway near Royalla.

An Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said one cyclist had sustained leg injuries, while a second cyclist was being assessed for spinal injuries.

Intensive care paramedics treated the pair at the scene before they were taken to the Canberra Hospital.

ACT Fire and Rescue also attended.

The car and cyclists collided on the highway shortly before 8am.

An ACT Policing spokeswoman said it wasn't clear which direction the car and bicycles were travelling in before the crash.
