The Pleasure Box is using a portion of proceeds from the sale of bovine-themed sex toys to buy cow food for a Queensland farming family affected by drought.

Owner Deborah Avery has raised $19,000 for Rowan and Isabel Mengel, of Felton, since starting the Rolling in the Hay fundraiser on August 19. Twenty dollars from the sale of cow-print vibrators and $60 from a Fifty Shades of Grey-branded massager go to the cause.

"A lot of people are buying it because it's a bit quirky, but others were buying it because they want to help," Ms Avery said.

The Kambah business owner came across the Mengels' story on Facebook and knew she had to act.

She initially hoped to raise $1000 but upped her target to $100,000 after researching the perilous state of Australia's dairy industry.

And it's a race against the clock with just two weeks until the Mengels might have to sell their cows.

"I have a certain talent, I work in an unusual industry, and I thought, 'Yep, I can do this,' " Ms Avery said.

"I put the challenge to all adult businesses to do the same."
