Six Kambah blocks went to auction, along with three each from Wanniassa and Torrens, and one each from Scullin, Melba, Hughes, Garran, Forrest, Mawson, Rivett and Fisher.  Blocks in Holder, Weetangera and Deakin were also available.

A 752 square metre block at 21 Sheaffe Street, Holder, was the most expensive, selling for $616,000. The largest block on offer, at 1371 square metres, at Ey Place in Kambah sold for $515,000. A 713 square-metre block at 63 Livingston Avenue in Kambah was the cheapest, selling for $390,000. A third Kambah block, at 76 Gallagher St, sold for $410,000 (776 square metres).

The auction was run by Colliers International, whose residential director, Shane Radnell, said there was "a good number" of other blocks passed in to underbidders now in negotiation.

"We look forward to finalising the sale of these unsold blocks over the coming days," Mr Radnell said.

He said buyers were a a 50-50 mix of builders and families.

"Builders understandably are seeking out the blocks that have good dual-occupancy potential, especially corner blocks."

All but one of the blocks are zoned RZ1 which allows for low rise and low density residential development. Multi unit housing is permitted.

The 891 square-metre Melba block was the only one zoned RZ2 which can be redeveloped for two homes. It sold for $525,000.

A block in Fisher sold for $588,000 (822 square metres).

The Fluffy sales were the subject of some controversy earlier this year, after two families who bought a former Mr Fluffy in Griffith were hit with thousands of dollars of unexpected fees after remnants of asbestos were uncovered on site. Bonded asbestos was also uncovered on a block in Macquarie that went under the hammer in the last land sale after flooding in the area.

To date, 793 blocks have been released to the market. Of that, 647 blocks have exchanged contracts. There are 146 blocks available, with 20 under offer.

Auctions will continue through to the second half of the year.
