After two years with ABC Radio Canberra, Laura Tchilinguirian is returning to her previous position with NewsRadio in Sydney.

Her last day on-air will be Thursday, December 13. ABC management says her replacement will be announced before the end of the year. She started at ABC Radio Canberra in November, 2016.
"I have loved every minute of the past two years at ABC Radio Canberra, and to be welcomed into this wonderful community,'' she said.
"But it’s such a great time to be a journalist right now. With so much happening in national and international news, my role at ABC NewsRadio is calling and it’s time to head home.”
Tchilinguirian is currently on holidays and back on-air on Monday, November 19.
ABC Canberra editor Michelle Ainsworth was sad to see her go.
“We will miss Laura on our Canberra airwaves and I am very grateful for the contribution she has made in the past two years,'' she said.
“Laura’s breadth of experience with her news background, as well as her passionate approach to the Canberra arts, right through to all things sci-fi, has kept local audiences both informed and entertained. She will be missed and we wish her all the best with her return to NewsRadio.”
