A Canberra man who police say has HIV allegedly shared needles with underage girls while injecting drugs, a court has heard.

Robert Glen Sirl, who denies he has HIV, is also alleged to have had unprotected sex with two vulnerable 15-year-old girls and a woman.
Mr Sirl, 47, is facing charges of sexual intercourse without consent, sexual intercourse with a child, and recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm in relation to the alleged rape of a woman and unprotected sex with a teenage girl.
He has pleaded not guilty.
The ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday heard police are preparing to lay further charges of sex with a second 15-year-old girl against the defendant.
Mr Sirl appeared before Special Magistrate Ken Cush in a second unsuccessful application for bail on Wednesday.
Prosecutor Anthony Williamson told the bail hearing that Mr Sirl is accused of violently raping and then mutilating a woman in August, causing internal injuries so severe she required a blood transfusion.
Court documents, tendered at an earlier bail application, said Mr Sirl allegedly inserted a foreign object into the women's vagina, causing her to bleed heavily.
The woman called paramedics when the bleeding would not stop and was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery to repair severe lacerations to her vaginal wall and cervix.
Mr Williamson said police investigating the alleged rape raided Mr Sirl’s Gilmore home in October to find him having sex with a 15-year-old girl.
Senior Constable Sharon Kube said Mr Sirl - who police databases indicated had HIV – had shared needles with two girls to inject drugs.
The police officer told the court Mr Sirl also had unprotected sex with the same two girls and knew one of them was aged 15 as he had attended her birthday party.
Senior Constable Kube also said Mr Sirl had given a third teenager drugs, but shared a needle, and taken her on "drug runs".
Mr Williamson opposed Mr Sirl's application for bail, arguing the defendant posed a risk of interfering with witnesses and committing further offences.
Mr Sirl, who represented himself in court, said he would agree to and abide by any bail conditions imposed by the court.
Mr Sirl denied he had sex with the teenagers and had been in a relationship with the woman.
He said he would not contact or harass the alleged victims directly or indirectly.
"I'm not that type of person," he said.
"I haven't done anything. I can't believe this is happening."
Mr Cush refused the accused's bail application, saying he had concerns Mr Sirl could interfere with evidence or witnesses if released.
The matter will next appear in court in January.
