Graeme Vickerstaff, 46, Dean Phillip Welsh, 49, and Colin Maxwell Booth, 33, maintained pleas of not guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court to charges of murder.
Magistrate Beth Campbell committed the defendants to the ACT Supreme Court to stand trial.
Mr Allan, 48, died in the front yard of a Goodenia Street home early on December 17 after being assaulted by an unknown number of assailants.
Police have previously said Mr Allan may have gone to the home for help about 5.25am after he suffered critical injuries in the alleged attack.
He died at the scene.
The matter will next appear in court in November.
