NSW Labor has committed an extra $10 million to Canberra region road upgrades if elected in Monaro, Queanbeyan's state electorate.

This would include $5 million for both Macs Reef Road and Bungendore Road, $1 million for more bike paths around Queanbeyan, and $30,000 for upgrades to a Queanbeyan zebra crossing.
Labor's Monaro candidate Bryce Wilson made the announcement on Tuesday and said with Bungendore's growing community and increased traffic to the coast, upgrades to Macs Reef Road and Bungendore Road should have been done earlier.
"It's not good enough. We need to get some safety improvements along [Mac's Reef Road]," he said.
Labor recommitted to its 2015 state election pledge to spend $60 million over four years to upgrading the Kings Highway.
At the time it also announced $3 million for a new overtaking lane on the road to the Snowy Mountains.
Tuesday's announcement followed a survey by the National Roads and Motorists Association where drivers voted the Kings, Barton and Monaro Highways some of the worst roads in the region.
Respondents were asked to give NSW roads ratings out of 100 for congestion, safety and condition.
The Barton Highway scored a 34 out of 100 average for congestion and 35 out of 100 for Safety.
Canberra's hallowed route to the coast, the Kings Highway, scored a 50 out of 100 average for congestion, while the road to the Snowy Mountains scored a 41 out of 100 average for safety.
Commuters travelling to Canberra from the south and ski season traffic was the reason the Monaro Highway needed more overtaking lanes, Mr Wilson said.

Mr Wilson said the funding would improve roads for people travelling to school and work.
That funding would see the construction of overtaking lanes, wider shoulders and the installation of safety barriers in places along the highways identified by NSW Roads and Maritime Services.
Monaro is considered a "bellwether" seat, meaning whoever takes Monaro tends to take state government.
Mr Barilaro held the seat of Monaro by about 2.5 per cent at the last NSW election.
NSW voters will head to the polls on Saturday, March 23.
