Police investigating the stabbing murder of a man getting a haircut in Bossley Park on Friday are calling for anyone who saw a mini-motorbike rider in the area, and have released a photo to aid witnesses.

The 20-year-old victim, Alfredo Isho, was stabbed at a hair salon on Mimosa Road in Bossley Park about 12.40pm on Friday, in what police described as a "targeted attack".

Mr Isho reportedly staggered outside before he collapsed on the street, and suffered a cardiac arrest. Paramedics resuscitated him before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition, where he underwent emergency surgery, but died about 5pm.

“When he walked out he was okay, but within 30 seconds he was gasping for breath,” a witness told Nine News.

Mr Botrus was arrested at his mother's house in Bossley Park on Friday at about 5pm and taken to Fairfield Police Station.

His case is next due to be mentioned at Fairfield Local Court in March.

Fairfield police and the Homicide Squad have formed Strike Force Etival to investigate the murder.
