Passengers departing from and heading to Sydney Airport's Qantas Domestic Terminal are experiencing hour-long delays due to a power outage.
The outage, which is believed to have been caused by a water leak, initially occured between 8.30am and 9am and brought all the terminal's traffic to a standstill for about half an hour.
While technicians were working to fix the issue, customers tweeted their displeasure at the inconvenience.
A Qantas spokesman said that flights became operational again from about 9am onwards as parts of the terminal had power restored.
However, due to the limited number of gates available, passengers were still experiencing hour-long delays until the power went back on at 1.30pm, and late into the afternoon due to the backlog of flights.
The Qantas spokesman said security had been operational all day. He did not identify the number of flights or passengers affected by delays during the outage.
