A baby boy has fallen from the third floor of a building in Brisbane's south after climbing a piece of furniture and falling through an open window.

Paramedics were called to the private residence at Greenslopes after reports of the infant experiencing a long fall at 7pm on Saturday.
The boy was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital after suffering facial and head injuries.
A QAS spokesman said he was lucky the injuries were not worse.
In light of the incident, he cautioned all parents and carers to closely monitor their children while playing.
“For those living in tall houses or unit blocks we suggest that windows be secured and no furniture is left near open windows or balcony railings," he said.
