The locations of Brisbane’s most dangerous crashes have been revealed, with a stretch of road in the city's north taking out the top three spots.

Gympie Road, which runs through Chermside, Aspley and Kedron, is where Brisbane motorists are most likely to crash, according to RACQ insurance data.
Between January 1, 2015, and October 31, 2018, 540 crashes happened on Gympie Road.
Mains Road at Sunnybank Hills and Logan Road at Eight Mile Plains also made the top-five accident-heavy locations.
RACQ spokeswoman Kirsty Clinton said there were a number of reasons these locations topped the list.
“These roads are typically heavily congested, high-volume, multi-lane roads with many intersections and locations for interactions between multiple vehicles,” she said.
“A large portion of the crashes will be rear-ended crashes, which happen during congestion and at traffic lights, and sideswipes and crashes where drivers have failed to give way properly.”
Ms Clinton’s advice to drivers on these roads was to take extra care.
“As always when behind the wheel, but even more so on busy roads, drivers need to avoid distraction, obey traffic signals, give way correctly, travel at a safe following distance and carefully check blind spots and indicate when merging or changing lanes.
