A technical issue affected the transfer of more than 100 court-ordered banning notices to Queensland’s ID scanner network over seven months, police say.

It comes after a Nine News report revealed in February Caleb Maraku, who was handed a year's probation over a one-punch attack on the Gold Coast in February and restricted from entering Safe Night Precincts, was not on any banned lists.
On Tuesday, police said they had resolved the technical issue which affected 133 court-ordered banning notices and 48 current bail conditions from July to February.
The scanners are managed by the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation.
The system is meant to make sure someone with a banning notice is detected if they attempt to enter a venue within the precinct.
Police Commissioner Ian Stewart said the data had since been transferred, with officers conducting follow-up investigations into instances where banned people had visited Safe Night Precincts.
Police could not say how many instances were investigated.
A second technical issue was flagged relating to the transfer of data to a national system used for background checks.
It is understood between December and February, 26 incorrect results were issued, including 17 Blue Card checks.
Commissioner Stewart said in all instances, there was no risk to the community.
“The QPS will continue to review its processes and monitor these systems to ensure public safety,” he said.
