A house has been engulfed in flames north-west of Brisbane on Monday morning, with a woman taken to hospital for a burn to her arm and smoke inhalation.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said three fire crews in breathing apparatus began fighting the blaze at the Ardisia Street house in Arana Hills about 8.30am.
By 10am the fire was contained but smoke continued to billow out of the destroyed home, with neighbours warned to close windows and doors.
The QFES spokesman said the roof of the house had collapsed, and two cars and a boat were burnt.
A fire investigation unit was attending to determine the source of the blaze.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated one female patient for smoke inhalation and a burn to the arm.
She was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition just before 9.30am.
