Police and Workplace Health and Safety investigators have returned to an industrial site east of Brisbane after a man was hit and killed by a truck on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to ShawX Manufacturing on Enterprise Street in Cleveland just after 4.30pm but the 46-year-old man died at the scene.

Forensic Crash Unit officers, and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland investigators were called to the scene on Wednesday evening.
ShawX Manufacturing makes attachments for earth-moving vehicles. Fairfax Media has contacted the company for comment.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
