Logan motorcyclist in serious condition after collision with van

A 42-year-old man is in a serious condition with a "significant" head injury after a crash in Logan Reserve on Thursday morning.

The Parkinson man, riding a motorcycle, collided with a van at the intersection of Chambers Flat Road and School Road just after 5am.

Queensland Ambulance Service senior operations supervisor Lisa Dibley said paramedics intubated the man at the scene before he was rushed to hospital with high-acuity paramedics assisting.

Queensland Police said the motorcycle was travelling south on Chambers Flat Road when the crash happened at the intersection.

The driver of the van, a 40-year-old Logan Reserve man, was not physically injured in the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
