A man was airlifted with suspected spinal injuries after he crash landed north-west of Toowoomba when his parachute canopy failed.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the Somerset region just after 6pm on Saturday after reports he rapidly descended before landing heavily.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was treated by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics before the rescue chopper arrived.
He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition under the care of LifeFlight's Critical Care doctor and flight paramedic.
On Sunday, a light aircraft had also experienced a crash landing on a Sunshine Coast beach after it was believed the pilot might have experienced engine failure.
Emergency services were called at 7.20am on Sunday with reports the aircraft had tipped, hit the water and then landed near the sand at Noosa North Shore Beach on Taylor Street.
Paramedics were treating two people for minor injuries.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said four crews and a technical rescue crew were on scene.
"It looks like the plane has landed upright on its wheels but at this stage crews are working to get everyone down there in an effort to start doing our usual checks and to make the scene safe."
