A 21-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a 19-year-old man with a metal vase, causing life-threatening head and facial injuries.

Police attended a Satinwood Street address in the suburb of Crestmead, south of Brisbane, on Sunday morning and arrested the man, who also allegedly assaulted a woman inside the house.
Police allege the Waterford West man went to the home about 6.30am and attacked the man with the metal vase before assaulting the woman. He also allegedly damaged a car and mobile phone.
The injured 19-year-old was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
Police established a crime scene and charged the 21-year-old with one count each of grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm, and two counts of wilful damage.
He will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.
