Five men have been charged with affray after a McDonald's car park brawl believed to have been sparked when a man threw an ice cream at a car.
A 33-year-old man from Mudgeeraba, a 17-year-old man from Robina, an 18-year-old man from Burpengary, a 21-year-old man from Rothwell and a 17-year-old man from Mudgeeraba were all charged.
The 33-year-old was allegedly hit in the head during the fight.
All five men are due in Southport Magistrates Court on August 19.

A gun was found in the car park and a 26-year-old man was hospitalised after being stabbed in the back during the fight.
Two groups of men started arguing just after 11pm Thursday inside McDonald's on the Gold Coast Highway at Burleigh Heads, police said.
About 10 minutes later the four men now in custody and the two alleged victims clashed violently in the car park.
It's understood the fight began when one of the pair threw an ice cream cone at the car containing the larger group as it drove away.
Police alleged a 26-year-old Robina man was stabbed in the back a 33-year-old Mudgeeraba man was hit in the face and a gun was drawn.
They said the four men from the larger group all ran off in different directions but were tracked down nearby and were assisting police with their investigations.
The 26-year-old was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
