Clint Briskey, 24, died in a car accident at the weekend, when his ute veered off the road and rolled a number of times.

Emergency crews were alerted about 3.15am on Sunday, after a motorist found debris on the Gore Highway, near Broxburn Road.

“Instead tomorrow, on our anniversary, I have to see you for the last time and get the ring back I gave you, promising to love you forever and never giving up on us,” his wife Jess wrote in a heartbreaking Facebook tribute on Sunday night.

“Nothing is ever going to prepare me to face tomorrow without you coming home with me and our babies afterwards and knowing our final goodbye will be here soon. Many many years sooner than either of us would have ever wanted.

“Hug your loved ones a little tighter cuz [sic] you never know when it’ll be the last time. Be safe on the roads.”

Friends of the family of the Pittsworth couple have taken to social media to send messages of support to Mrs Briskey.

"So sorry for you and your family's loss Jess, Clint was a beautiful soul taken way too early.
Sending massive healing and love to you all," one wrote.

"Rest easy mate you were one of the best blokes I’ve ever met, fly high mate. I’m so sorry for your loss of this legend," another posted.

A GoFundMe page, set up by Mrs Briskey's friend Kisita Dann, has already raised $5000 for the family.

"He was such an amazing and loving father to his two beautiful children Sonny, his 21-month-old son, and his seven-month-old daughter Willow and not to mention he has left his loving wife Jess," Ms Dann wrote.

"Jess is left without her soul mate and the light of her life that she married almost two years ago - well a day short of two years.

"For anyone that knows Clint you would know that his family always came first."

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
