The Unroadworthy Roads Survey 2018 had more than 600 nominations for roads with issues such as rough surfaces, congestion, blind corners and lack of markings, and hazardous roadsides.

Sixty per cent of respondents to the survey said road surfaces were their biggest headache, while nearly half said narrow lanes or unsafe shoulders were a problem on local roads.

The top 10 list of Queensland's worst roads saw the Bruce Highway at number one with 94 nominations, followed by Alma Road at Dakabin, then Mount Lindesay Road and the Kennedy Highway.

Henry Road at Griffin and the Pacific Motorway took out equal fifth, followed by Foxwell Road at Coomera and Yawalpah Road at Pimpama.

Ipswich-Boonah Road and the D'Aguilar Highway rounded out the top 10.

RACQ spokeswoman Lucinda Ross said it was encouraging to see complaints about the Bruce Highway had dropped since the 2016 survey, taken before the $8.5 billion upgrade program.

The survey aims to identify the worst issues on Queensland roads to lobby for greater funding for upgrades and repairs.

"We’ll be sending the results of this survey to state and local governments – Queensland drivers have spoken and now we need action," she said.

An interactive map of all the nominated roads includes comments from users.

Several users noted the Gateway Motorway and Pacific Motorway intersection at Rochedale, with one nearby office worker reporting of the nearby Logan Road that "on a regular basis I hear cars slamming on their brakes, resulting in near misses or rear-enders."

Another user complained that Logan Road at the Springwood exit had "potholes and dodgy gravel all over the road".
