A 66-year-old man who was fighting for his life in hospital has died from his injuries after being thrown from his motorbike in north Queensland two days ago.

Police and emergency services responded to reports of a single-motorcycle crash at the intersection of Bundock and Stagpole streets about 6pm in Townsville on Monday.
On arrival, officers found the man on the road.
Police said initial inquiries indicated the rider struck debris on the road causing him to be thrown from the motorbike.
The Mount Louisa man was taken to Townsville Hospital with life-threatening injuries on Monday and was pronounced dead on Wednesday afternoon.
Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to contact police.
