A semi-trailer rollover on Ipswich Road in Rocklea has created a headache for clean-up crews, with the truck's load of woodchips spilled across the intersection of Suscatand Street.

The truck rolled about 5am on Wednesday, with a male driver in his 50s taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition by paramedics.

Northbound lanes towards Dunn Road were affected while emergency crews continued the clean-up.
Witnesses reportedly pulled the driver from the truck after it rolled.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area while the clean-up continues.
