Severe weather warnings have been issued as parts of south-east Queensland face heavy rainfall, damaging winds and large hailstones.

Just before 4pm, the Bureau of Meteorology issued a warning for residents on the south-east coast including parts of Wide Bay and Burnett and Darling Downs and the Granite Belt.
"Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours," the warning said.
"Locations which may be affected include Maroochydore, Gympie, Kingaroy, Ipswich, Jimboomba and Mount Tamborine."
However, the Darling Downs and Granite Belt warning was later cancelled.
A second warning has also been issued and at 6.10pm the Bureau updated the warning and said the thunderstorms were forecasted to hit Highvale and the D'Aguilar Ranges by 6.40pm and Dayboro and Burpengary by 7.10pm.
"Damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding are likely," the warning said.
