It will be alleged a 37-year-old Mackay man got a security alert on his phone that four men had broken into a shed on his Helensvale property on Amazon Circuit about 4.20am on June 30.

Police said the man watched the group via real-time surveillance cameras inside the shed and allegedly witnessed them stealing the cameras, solar panels and a modem.

It will be alleged the men then left the shed and took drugs elsewhere.

Officers arrested a 29-year-old local man at home on Connemara Street in Gaven on July 5.

He was charged with entering a premises, receiving tainted property, possessing suspected stolen property, possessing a restricted item, possessing a weapon and stealing.

He is due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Police have released the security vision from inside the shed, launching an appeal to identify the other two men who they would like to speak to about the break-in.

The first man has been described as European in appearance, aged in his 30s, with short brown hair and fluorescent green ‘spacers’ in his earlobes. It appears he has a diamond tattoo on his neck.

He was wearing a white baseball cap, a dark blue long-sleeve jumper with “LA” emblazoned on the front with white letting and a red bag at the time of the incident.

The second man has been described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s, lean build, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a blue hooded jacket at the time of the incident.
